Han Han’s magazine “Party” denied ISSN, content controversial
As the Global Times writes in its article “Controversial magazine in spotlight again as distributor denies ban order“, Han Han’s “Party” has not been banned, but it was denied an ISSN and only received an ISBN since it is considered to be a book. “Having an ISSN means a magazine does not require approval from authorities for its subsequent issues. Publications with an ISBN need to be approved each time.” A core problem might be “radical content and words, such as rape”.
No date for the second issue is set.
